24.03.04: The "other voice" of the Jewish diaspora in the USA

Two emails to Mikis Theodorakis

I.
23.03.2004

Dear Mr. Theodorakis,

As a Jew, an American and a government lawyer (Assistant Attorney General in Arizona) I wish to tell you that I am in accord with your position regarding Israel, and that I deplore the fact that anyone has accused you of anti-Semitism. You are a hero of oppressed people throughout the world. Let us hope that Americans are wise enough to replace George Bush this November.
I am honored to be able to communicate my position to you.
Additionally, you are one of the greatest composers of the modern era. I have been listening to your music for over thirty years.

With kindest regards,

Jeffrey A. Weinstein

You are welcome to put my email to Mr. Theodorakis on the web site.
I would be most pleased to receive any correspondence from Mr. Theodorakis.
Having now read Mr. Theodorakis' statements concerning the U.S atrocities in Iraq, I am in agreement with his position. I share in the world's sadness and anger over the ignorant and irresponsible acts of the United States against the people of Iraq.

With kindest regards,

Jeffrey Weinstein

Thank you, Mr Weinstein! - You give us hope...
