Interior of the Megaron

This Friday, March 27, at 8.30 p.m. the State Orchestra of Athens (KOA) will present the Third Symphony (2nd version) by Mikis Theodorakis at the Palace of Music (Megaron).
One knows that this great score is based on the poem The Insane Mother by Dionysos Solomos, on Constantinos Kavafis and on Byzantine hymns. The symphony will be intepreted by Daphne Evangelatos, soloist, the Animato Chorus of Sofia and The State Orchestra of Athens under the baton of Byron Fidetzis.
The concert takes place within the frame of the Greek Musical Festival - Fifth Cycle
The program includes also the world premiere of the Concerto for violin and orchestra by Simos Papanas.
