In 2001 Mikis Theodorakis had stopped composing.
In April 2006, nevertheless and for our greatest pleasure, he wrote a new cycle of songs: "Odyssey" based on poems by Costas Cartelias.
These songs have now been recorded and published on CD.
The official presentation took place Tuesday 20th March 2007 in the Theatre "Pallas" by the composer and his great interpreter Maria Farantouri, who sings all the songs, but one.
Maria Farantouri said that she wanted to "infiltrate the humain soul".
Theodorakis, who sings himself "In the Otherworld" explained that he had wished to continue his "journey through the musical seas".
