Mikis Theodorakis and Fani Palli-Petralia

Tourism Minister Fani Palli Petralia announced that a concert with "The songs of love and passion" written by world-famous composer Mikis Theodorakis will be given at the Music Hall in Beijing's Forbidden City.
The performance will be given by Greek singers Nena Venetsanou, Nikos Kouroupakis, Zahos Terzakis and Julia Souglakos, accompanied by the Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra with the assistance of a Chinese symphonic orchestra and opera choir.
The concert will be held on June 22 within the framework of the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2006 taking place in the Chinese capital on June 22-24.
Greece is the guest country in the 3rd Beijing International Tourism Expo to be formally inaugurated on June 21, while on June 22 the Greek tourism minister will inaugurate the Greek pavilion.
The Greek minister will have meetings with Chinaâs Sports Minister Liu Peng and Chinese businessmen, while she will also sign a bilateral agreement with her counterpart Shao Qiwei.
