CAIRO: On Tuesday, 30.11.2004, Mikis Theodorakis will be given the very important Egyptian Award: "Gold Pyramid Prize".
This Prize rewards a lifetime achievement and will be given in Cairo by the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Mr. Farouk Hosny, and by the President of Cairo International Film Festival, Mr. Cherif el Shoubashy.
The ceremony will take place in Cairo Opera house at 7 p.m..
While Mikis Theodorakis is not able to fly to Cairo, he will be represented by his nephew George and his niece Maria Theodorakis, the children of his brother Yiannis.
On a video to be shown, Mikis Theodorakis will express his gratitude.
