dpa announces that Mikis Theodorakis has been discharged from Athens's Evangelismos Hospital, after having been readmitted on 21 and receiving treatment following complications after his gall bladder operation on August 18
Theodorakis, 79, had his gall bladder removed on Wednesday 18 and was released from hospital on Friday eve, 20 August.
But already the next day he had to go back to hospital, because of intestinal problems resulting from the surgery.
After another week of hospitalisation, Theodorakis's condition is "well and stable", but he is to continue medical treatment at home, doctors said..
